A collaborative Exquisite Corpse workshop at Meta where participants created unexpected characters together through a playful, mixed-media drawing exercise. 🎨
The Activation
An immersive workshop invited Meta employees to participate in an Exquisite Corpse–style character creation exercise using mixed media. Participants built original characters collaboratively, each person adding a new section without seeing the full composition beforehand. Using drawing, collage, and other tactile materials, the activity encouraged spontaneity, creativity, and unexpected outcomes as characters evolved piece by piece through collective imagination.
The Result
The workshop produced a series of wildly original characters that no single participant could have created alone. As the final compositions were revealed, the room filled with laughter, surprise, and conversation. The collaborative format encouraged people to build on each other’s ideas and experiment creatively as a group.
At the end of the session, a director at Meta shared that it was the best corporate workshop she had ever attended, a testament to how engaging and energizing the experience felt for the team.
